While spiders naturally give many people the creeps, it's good to keep in mind the great benefits of spiders... namely, that they eat practically all insects we consider to be pests. Here are some examples of spiders eating pesty flies.

These photos of spiders were taken in the summer of 2003 in the woods near my home or near the Big Darby National Scenic River.
