The site has finally surpassed half a million visitors. It’s really come a long way since I first decided to build it. A few months ago I went back to the original site … it wasn’t database-driven… it was built with frames. Every time I wanted to add a new area… I’d have to edit many pages! Back then I was happy to get fifty visitors in a day.

So the site has come along well. It’s not a pain when adding something. There are thousands of visitors a day viewing hundreds of articles on dozens of topics and thousands of photos and images. I am happy to have reached the half-million mark.

Like always, I am glad for the submissions that members make, along with suggestions about ways to improve the site.

I haven’t had a lot of free time to add to the site recently. But there are a few things out there to show. 99.7 The Blitz is listing some of my Rock to Remember photos on its website. Also, CMH Magazine used my interview of Noise Auction in their last publication.

I also wanted to make note that Michael Crosby, who has been an extension of my family since 1999, was recently keynoted by the U.S. Army. I don’t always share the same convictions and politics that Michael does, but I am proud of what he has accomplished with himself. Re-enlisting at the age of fifty, he has proven that his dedication to something he believes in can pay out in the long run.

That’s it for this week. I look forward to seeing some more work from our members!

Take Care and have a safe, creative week!
Shawn Olson
