Game design is one of those seldom recognized areas of creative design. Game designers reside in the gray area of creativity ranging across several fields. Characteristics of game designers include at least one of the following: creative; competitive; artistic; analytical; hands-on. Successful ones often need to be good story-tellers. With the advent of the video game, today's game designers are challenged with learning new technologies to keep abreast with the times, and finding innovative ways to keep alive the round-table effect of board games. I have been making games since elementary school. Over the years I invented several games that might have been successfully marketed before the advent of the video game age. Alas... I was born a little too late for that. Not to worry, since I do enjoy designing maps for video games such as Counter-Strike. My map de_sacrelige has been downloaded thousands of times since it was released; de_sacrelige was also featured on several prominent Counter-Strike servers when first published.
