Tom... for one of my friends having this problem, a reboot of the computer was required before this fix took effect.

I completely disagree that nobody stands up to the government these days.
Saul Rather not say said: [ Regarding Renaissance Man ]
Thankyou firstly for writing this essay, because it is definately worth thinking about - I would say to you that, yes it is probably the modern education system that determines the deterioration of the typical 'Renaissance man', but this is not necessarily so bad; perhaps society is more balanced if everyone has more skill in a specific skill (obviously that's debatable). I personally don't think a man can be a TRUE master of all trades; as you said, a lot of us are likely to be minor polymaths, but I don't think being passionate about a certain subject is any less commendable as not achieving a recognisable level of education (legally) in that area, which would mean that in that case, you can still be seen as a renaissance man (sorry if I'm not making ANY sense). Conclusively, nowadays, I think you have every type of man/woman; it is up to the individual and their general enthusiasm. Perhaps, renaissance is too much of a generalist label...i don't know.

Talk about a scam! Your whole story about a lawsuit is a scam! Great reading though...in the style of Dan Brown (fiction threaded into some reality). I was totally sucked into it until I realized what you were doing... Keep it up! Great fiction.

My husband has recently received a letter regarding his inclusion in Who's Who of Britain's Business Elite. I was immediately sceptical and suspected it was a scam, even though he he well known and an award winner in his field.
I have been to the site and corrected their online data. It seems they will publish him anyway, regardless of whether he updates the info or pays!
Thanks for your information - I will await their hard sell phone calls - they won't get anywhere with me - I'm in sales!
Eldonna Waddell said: [ Regarding Wolves ]
Actually there have been a couple of serious attacks recently. In one, the victim was killed:
http://www.aksuperstation.com/news/local/11630296.html
In the other, the jogger was locked in hand to mouth combat with a wolf, when a mini-bus full of off shift oil workers came along the road, and thejumped out and fought the wolf off.
Give an infinite number of humans and an infinite number of wolves...and eventually somebody is going to get hurt.

Thanks for pointing that out. The double slashes are being stripped from the HTML in the server script... so for the moment the problem will persist until I can get a moment to fix the bug.

Had major issues with this, then realised it's because you missed the // after http:// in the javascript src link...

Thanks! I haven't tried this yet, but I look forward to not getting killed in EVERY gunfight I enter. The problem adds to the realism, but I get killed very often. I have had this issue since Spetmeber and gave up looking after about a month. I reinstalled the game and still had issues. THANKS for posting your fix!

William, thanks for the post. The function was something I put up years ago to demonstrate how to use an object's ID to manipulate it. The article really did not get to the point... but it did provide that function.
I expect to write something more useful in time. As for your comment about the button... the function being called was not intended to return anything. I assume you were having a problem with the function because you were using Firefox or another browser beyond IE. In IE, a button does not automatically submit a form... since the demonstration form was not originally intended to submit the form to a server script... and I originally did not test it in Firefox... I did not see the issue you brought to my attention.
I have updated the demo form to work properly in Firefox. Thanks for pointing out the issue.
William Moraes said: [ Regarding Using an Object Id with JavaScript ]
hey man, fix up your button!
on the button event you should put this:
changeImgSize(document.exampleForm.Example.value,document.exampleForm.width.value,document.exampleForm.height.value); return false
you forgot the "return false". without this the page will send all data from the form to the action, and reload the page as well.
