I just caught one of these because it looked really interesting. I found it in Ohio as well and I was trying to figure out which type of spider it was, and now I know. :D

Found one in our front yard in Murphysboro Illinois last week. Freaked us out! 2nd time I had seen one in Murphysboro so they must live in Southern Illinois. We only have pine trees in the front though so I don't know what it was doing there.

Hi Shawn
I am a glass engraver and have problems with the photography of glass. having read your article which I found to be very good I was wondering what advice you could give on this kind of glass, I am experimenting at this time with a defuser tent and up lighting. To view the type of glass I use please visit www.rolldovestudio.co.uk

I was told I would receive a room of FREE carpet cleaning and instead got the sales pitch that went on & on & on for nearly 4 hours. Three times within the first hour I stopped the salesperson to inform him that I was UNEMPLOYED and could not afford anything at this time. I was asked how much severance I received and how much my unemployment checks were. Also, did I have an IRA account that I could "tap" into. At this point not only did I want to throw him & his sweeper out of my house, but I wanted to make sure that I get the word out to whoever I could that these people are NUTS! I did get a room of carpet shampooed - for FREE - but it took all day to do it. I ended up with a violent headache. Beware of anything associated with Kirby!

WOW!!! Thats all I can say! I was just googling a company because it was on facebook and this was on the top of the google list!
Very informative!
Beth Pauly said: [ Regarding Scams to make you feel cool ]
Thanks for the article. I've been getting voice messages on my personal cell phone from these people as well on my work cell phone. The telemarketer leaves this "urgent" message for me to return their call ASAP so they can congratulate and "interview" me. Sounds like I need to update my "no call" request!

Shawn, thank you for posting. I received a letter in the mail too. I thought it was just another listing of professionals, typically like the ones they run in the legal profession, so you can get in contact with other lawyers or to get business from potential clients. What a crock. Legally they should put on the letter that there is a cost of membership.

One note: apache_get_modules() may not be available in all PHP versions if apache is running in CGI mode instead of in module mode. Make sure to test it on your installation.

My mom and son just found one these scary creatures outside by our creek. Braxton is 4 and wouldn't rest until I found out what it was called. It was huge. Every bit of 6 inches. My mom has trees, a creek, and squash field behind her house so we were not sure about it's habitat. Thanks for the pictures. The appearance is scary and will forever be burned in our brains.

That's what I'm talking about! I've looked up "assassin bug" on other sites and got pictures of bugs that don't look anything like this. Yours are great! We encourage these fellas to live in our gardens and do their job.

Using the erasure worked!
I have been dealing with this issue for the last year on and off...eventually last month my camera would only give the err 99 message. I hope this does the trick long term. I was told that it was a digital issue that would cost at minimum of $600!

See a walking stick on the brick, outside our front door. Have pictures, if you would like. Have not seen a walking stick in a long time. This one is very large, I think. Do not see many this size. It is brown in color. We live in South Texas, about 16 miles West of Corpus Christi, Texas Send pictures, just tell me where to send them. Check out our hobby, the Rock Food Table. Will be in Billings,Montana, last two days of July and first two days of August.
