Life Beyond Life
When I go to sleep, the sun will still shine.
But not upon my earthly home.
When I lie down on my eternal bed,
The birds will continue to sing their joyous songs.
And my spirit will fly with them
Into the heavens,
Among the gentle, flowing breezes,
I will soar with new found freedom.
When I close my eyes for the final time,
The flowers will bloom again.
And I will bare witness of their beauty,
As the darkness of night becomes everlasting light.
