Afraid to be Alone

Afraid to be Alone

Two lives entangled in a web of lustful love
Afraid to be alone
They continue to weave their web
Comfort sets in as the years go by
Although they think their love has grown
They have just grown apart
Love has become another comfort zone
A boulder to hide behind
A place to bury the pain

Two strangers in one home
Strangers to themselves
Afraid to be alone
They strive to make it work
But the pain does not subside
As they grow apart the tears fall like oceans
Tears for themselves not for the other

Too afraid to be alone for so long…
Until now?
