Websites and Glass
Bad news first. One of my favorite bands called it quits last week. Cringe officially broke up after the members decided that they weren't all on the same page.
It was pretty rough for me. I spent countless hours working on their website and photographing shows over the last year. I had a special connection with their CD Animation... and I like all the guys. Tommy (vocals) asked me to take down the website last week, but I couldn't help but drag my feet.
Well... the Cringe website is now just a memorial page. It's pretty sad. But the good news is that Corbin (guitars) and Butch (bass) are still together, looking to form a new band--they are currently seeking a vocalist (interested singers can write to corbincringe@columbus.rr.com). Tommy and Ryan are taking time to write new music as well. So I expect great things to come from them still.
More band news--I designed and loaded the website for a new band in Columbus: Capital Tragedy. Check these guys out.
Finally, I got some cool shots of the Chihuly display at the Franklin Park Conservatory. The whole family went last night. It was a little rough lugging my tripod through a maze of paths, plants and people (and avoiding the glass scultptures), but I did well. Plus, my son Ethan officially helped me for the first time on a shoot. We had a lot of fun. Thanks to Virginia for inviting us all out and being brave enough to bring a swarm of kids!
Take care friends, and have a good week!
