The Storm and the Rainbow

The Storm and the Rainbow

Storms are fascinating entities. The gust of a cold front alerting of an imminent storm is at once exhilarating and daunting. As the raw power of air leans the landscape in the direction of the storm's path, humans are reminded of how frail and weak we are compared to nature.

I love storms. I like to sit out on warm nights when lighting storms flip and flash momentary surges of energy across the horizon and sky. When the heavy rains come it's nice to sit by the window and listen to the furious pounding of wind and rain.

These are just some interesting clouds I've photographed and a rainbow that hovered over Columbus yesterday in the wake of a storm that never really came.
