Numb Memory
One more mindful drop of this day
tastes like a numb memory
shouting through the halls
of an echo-less house.
Why buries the pirate his gold
on days where the future’s
slipping through fortune’s
weak and greasy hold?
He dreams while awake
but sails with his eyes sealed shut.
tastes like a numb memory
shouting through the halls
of an echo-less house.
Why buries the pirate his gold
on days where the future’s
slipping through fortune’s
weak and greasy hold?
He dreams while awake
but sails with his eyes sealed shut.
