Spiders in Pursuit of Prey

These spider photos are some shots taken in the summer of 2008 in central Ohio. My favorite shot is the black jumping spider (with hairy white fangs that look like a giant bushy mustache) stalking the leafhopper. Fortunately for the leafhopper, the spider did not find him. However, the other jumping spider was more successful—he caught an ant in his pursuit for lunch.
