SMO Search Updated

When I first tackled this new site, I had planned on making it a solo project in terms of development. Well, it turns out that I needed some help when it came to the search engine.

Since I'm still learning PHP and MySQL I have relied heavily on the advice of friends like Jeremy Gilbey and Andrew Penry. Their critiques have been of incalculable value. In terms of the search engine, I have fallen on their shoulders.

I first came to Jeremy. We tried to devise a ranking system for the search engine. We relied on PHP. The system we came up with wasn't what I wanted, but I launched the new SMO.net with it.

I had designated the next week to the development of this task, which I estimated to be a big deal. Well, as it turned out, Andrew looked at my code and chopped the entire process in half. He fixed my problem in about twenty minutes.

So now I will be spending this week doing other things instead of wracking my brain. Thanks Andrew.
