September 2, 2005 Newsletter

The last two weeks were a nightmare for the site. Our server had catastrophic hardware failure. It took us a while to correctly diagnose the problem; we went from hard drive failure to software vulnerabilities back to hardware failure. In the end we had to move all our sites and databases to a new server altogether.

During the whole ordeal, we experienced major downtime. As such out traffic is down at the moment.

We are now back up and running. And I’ve found some time to add some new photos. I also added the beginning of a new sub-domain dedicated to American philosopher John Dewey. My goal is to make a comprehensive resource of information and links regarding John Dewey. The site is of interest to educators, philosophers and thinkers. Go to http://johndewey.shawnolson.net.
