For almost a month, very little new content was added to the site. But with the barrage of work I’ve been doing winding down, I have had a little time to add some new creative works. Among the new work is a return to 3D mapping for Counter-Strike. I’ve made three new maps in the last month. The first two are already on the site. The third will be loaded sometime this week. (Also, my friend Andrew Penry is about to compile his first map).

Jenny has been helping me promote the new Global Artistic Network by finding new artists and inviting them to join. But we took a two-week hiatus in promoting that site. Now we have started again, and new members are joining fairly quickly. There are currently a few hundred members from 37 countries around the world—including world-class wildlife artists and published science-fiction authors, among others.

Of course, if you are an artist or know of a talented artist... I encourage you to join or invite your talented friends/family/associates to join the Global Artistic Network.

My brother (Eric Olson) has added some of his music to the site. I especially enjoy the Chances Remix (song 2 on the play list). It appears that he got all the musical talent in our family—my musical skills are equal to the sonorous croaking of a lonely bullfrog. Go check out some of his music… anyone who knows Eric but didn’t know he is an avid musician at heart will be highly impressed.

Some of my rock star friends have also put some music up. Noise Auction (who recently released their first CD) has three songs and my friends in Liquid 6teen have put up a demo.

I haven’t really gotten the word out to musicians yet about the new site… though I know there are plenty of musically inclined artists on my personal mailing list—so go share your music if you are a musician or in a band!

That’s it for this edition. Hopefully it won’t be another month before I have enough new content to merit a newsletter.
