Yet Another Untitled poem
There’s a shadow on your tongue, like you’ve more to say
But, with a sigh, you hold it back, keeping it in another day
With arguing emotions tumbling in your head
You struggle with things better left unsaid
There is sadness in your eyes, or perhaps it is a longing
Maybe it’s regret- or just a feeling of not belonging
There’s a feeling of awkwardness- like you don’t belong in your skin
You just wish she’d hold you, hug you tight and take you in
You feel like you could love again, you feel not all is lost
Then you ask yourself is it worth the pain, what is the cost
If you could get a hold of your thoughts, arrange them, make them your own
You would find a way to love again, a way to finally come home
